The Following Types Of Items Are Prohibited / Restricted For Sale On Cetsy:

The Following Are Animal Products That May Not Be Sold On Cetsy:

1. Items created using any endangered or threatened animal species. We define these as animal species designated as threatened or endangered by Appendix I of the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES).
   • Ivory or bones in any form from: Ivory-producing animals, fossilized Ivory, Ivory tusks, and Wooly Mammoth Ivory.
   • Items made from human remains or products from the human body, except for teeth, fingernails, and hair.
2. Recalled Items
   • Items that have been recalled by governments or manufacturers are prohibited from being sold on Cetsy.
3. Hate Items: Items that Promote, Support, or Glorify Hatred
   • Cetsy promotes a community where all people from all nationalities are welcome to use our platform and trade, as legally allowed, within or outside of their geographic regions regardless of their religions, skin color, sexual preference, or political affiliations.
   • Cetsy does not permit listings or items that support, promote or glorify hatred toward other people or otherwise “lower” people based upon their: ethnicity, race, religion, national origin, gender/ gender identity, sexual orientation, or disability (collectively, “protected groups”).
4. Illegal Items, Items Promoting Illegal Activity, and Highly Regulated Items in a Sellers Geographic Region
   • Illegal items, items that promote illegal activity in a geographic region, and stolen/” fenced” items are not allowed on Cetsy. We require sellers to follow all applicable jurisdictional laws for the items they list. Listings may be unavailable for users in some geographic regions where the item is restricted to purchase or sell. It is the Buyers sole responsibility to know what he/she can or cannot import into their Country, prior to their purchase.
5. Unauthorized or Counterfeit Goods
   • Unauthorized replicas / copies of an item(s) is not allowed on Cetsy. Cetsy considers counterfeit or unauthorized goods to be items that: imitate an authentic good. Particularly, by using a brand’s name, logo, or protected design without the consent of the brand owner. Also, we consider some up-cycled or re-purposed items, even if using authentic materials, to be counterfeit if they are making use of a brand's name, logo, or protected design without the owner’s permission.
6. Personal information may not be sold/traded, an example would be: information on an individual or entity as part of a data bank or mass mailing list. The sale of government or personal documents, such as credit cards, personal identification cards, passports, and state or agency regulated licenses is also against Cetsy House Rules unless sold by the actual Government Agency or authorized representative of the Government Agency responsible for issuing the license.
   • All should be aware that third-party payment processors, such as PayPal, iPay, Apple Pay, Amazon Pay, Google Pay, Visa, etc, may independently monitor transactions for sanctions compliance and may legally block a transaction as part of their own compliance program. Cetsy has no authority, or control, over the decision-making of these payment solution providers.
7. Mature Adult Content/Nudity
   • Being a creative and very global community, we are quite liberal about what we allow on Cetsy. That said, we do NOT allow “pornographic videos”.
   • Anything indicating the sexualization of others is prohibited. We also prohibit representations of incest, non-consensual sex, toons, and beastiality.
8. Items that glorify human tragedy or suffering are also prohibited to include items that commemorate or honor recent or past serial killers. Vintage war time items are permitted.
9. Items that encourage starvation, self-harm or mutilation are not permitted.
10. Anything which endorses misinformation that is harmful to others are not permitted.
11. Items advertised as “concealed or hidden weapons” or any item listed by the seller as a “weapon” is not permitted. Such items include but are not limited to batons, clubs, or any other instrument specifically intended to cause harm towards another individual
    • Should an individual notice an item that appears to “not conform” to the Cetsy marketplace, we encourage the individual to report the Seller and / or item to Cetsy for further review.
